  • California Sushi Roll Extravaganza

    When it comes to actual sushi that is made with sushi grade raw fish such as salmon or tuna wrapped in rice and seaweed, the sushi tolerance spectrum runs from a very strong “YES” or a very strong “NO” with little wiggle room in between. Enter California “sushi” Rolls that overwhelmingly turn the strong “NO’s” into strong yeses! Join Tess as she walks you through how to make a variety of the most marvelous California rolls that will make you wonder why you haven’t tried to make your own before. California “sushi” roll combinations are only limited by your imagination! Make them vegetarian, with or without seaweed, spicy or not, it is totally up to you! Learn the skill of creating delicious seasoned sushi rice, spicy mayo, and how to stuff, wrap / shape the rolls, with wonderful filling ingredients. One of these fillings is a “crab” salad that will be created using crabsticks. Make it a date night or family night as you create lasting memories in your kitchen! What are the key ingredients used to make the homemade dough and sauce? HOW MUCH of each ingredient? HOW are they put together to create a variety of magical pizza options? Known as the Pizza Master “Pizzaiolo” in her family and community, our instructor Tess will help answer these questions as she guides you in her latest Pizza class where you will create fantastic FLATBREAD PIZZAS and Pizza Panini from scratch! If you are a part of a pizza loving family, this class is for you! Dive into the world of pizza making and join the ever-growing number of participants that have enjoyed Tess’ fun-filled cook-along pizza classes and experience for yourselves why participants keep coming back for more! Take-out Pizza may just become a thing of the past! On the Menu: Wonderful Flatbread Pizzas, Pizza Panini, and OUT-OF-THIS WORLD Pizza Sauce! TWO of the instructors’ personal recipes for two different homemade doughs will be used. One will be for the flatbread pizzas, and the other for the Panini Rolls that will be turned into pizza panini! The instructor will provide Step-by-step guidance and instruction help to ensure the process is a simple as can be. All recipes have been created by the instructor, and tested time and time again over the years, to ensure maximum flavor and ease. Choice of meat (chicken or pork) & veggies will fill the CRISPY spring rolls, and fresh veggie and precooked protein of choice will fill the FRESH spring rolls. Two types of wrappers will be used. Participants will be able to customize filling ingredients and seasonings according to their taste or dietary preferences.   • Tantalizing Thai Cuisine

    You'll begin by preparing vietnamese summer rolls served with both hoisin and peanut sauce for dipping. Vietnamese spring rolls follow made with pork, chicken, and glass noodles stuffed in rice paper, fried crispy, and served with the classic nuoc cham for dipping. You'll then prepare Pad Thai blending the vibrant flavors of Thailand with rice noodles using chicken, eggs, chilies, garlic, basil, scallions, bean sprouts, sesame oil, lemon and crushed red pepper flakes. For dessert, refreshing Thai lime custard topped with fresh whipped cream. All ingredients and supplies for this class are included in the registration fee.
  • The Art of Sushi

    Come explore the world of sushi as you create this Japanese delicacy yourself. We'll begin by preparing the coveted sushi rice then you'll learn the art of "nigiri-sushi"(hand molded rice) topped with shrimp, unagi, tamago, ahi tuna, and more. You'll then learn how to prepare "maki-sushi" using a bamboo mat to roll rice with various fillings in and around Nori (seaweed sheets). Options and accompaniments will include surimi, cucumber, avocado, cream cheese, teriyaki chicken, tempura onions, spicy mayo, eel sauce, wasabi, pickled ginger and soy sauce.     Head into spring with a Wild Rice and Breast of Children Salad or Wild Rice with Fresh Mushrooms and Cashews. We will also feature a vegetarian main dish salad using multi-colored peppers and the unique grain, Quinoa. What could be more refreshing than fruit - a salad combination of cantaloupe and strawberries with an orange sauce. Equally as pretty is Raspberry-Spinach Salad with Glazes Pecans. Then round out the evening with 3 easy dressings for your favorite combination of assorted garden greens - Feta Cheese, Creamy Blue Cheese and Orange Dressing. You will be ready for family and friends and spring! Supply fee of $15 due to instructor at class.
