Registration timeline: Returning riders- April 8-22New riders (if there is space available)- April 23-May 31
Practice dates and locations are subject to change throughout the season due to weather and trail conditions. Refer to TeamSnap or coaches emails for up to date information on practice dates and locations.
Practice locations vary and may include schools, parks and local trailheads, including Lake Rebecca, Elm Creek, and Theodore Wirth Park. Check Team Snap each day for updates on trail conditions and practice locations.
Participants provide own bike, helmet and transportation. New participants need to purchase a Wayzata team jersey for competitions (Approx. $60). Minnesota High School Cycling League membership and insurance are required, for an additional fee of approximately $100. Race series fees are also additional. Team racers compete in 4 or 5 races throughout the state from August through October. Minnesota Cycling League race fees are $50 per race, or $150 for a 3-5 race package if purchased together, the 'Superpass'. Race registration can be done for each race individually through August 15 or all 5 races for a discount (Superpass discount ends on August 1). If you’re unsure about racing, the Coaches will provide more information and guidance in our new athlete orientation online meeting (time/date to be provided at a later date).
After registering with Wayzata Community Education, you will receive an email invitation from the Coach to register with the Minnesota Cycling Association (minnesotacycling.org). Registering with Minnesota Cycling Association and signing the waiver is a requirement of team participation. Families will also receive an email invitation to join Team Snap. Joining Team Snap and keeping your information updated is important, as this is the primary way that coaches communicate with families.
Coaches will contact families after registration with schedules and information. Questions call 763-745-5200.
