  • Birchview Jumpstart to K

Jumpstart to K is an engaging introduction to your Rising Kindergartener's future elementary school. This brief yet impactful experience aims to familiarize children with the school to help a smooth transition into kindergarten. Birchview teachers lead Jumpstart to K, and while the teacher your Rising K student meets for this program may not be their classroom teacher for Kindergarten, they will be another familiar, friendly face during the transition. This program is designed to be interactive and fun. Throughout the morning or afternoon, your Rising K student will engage in a series of interactive activities and guided experiences aimed at building confidence and enthusiasm for the kindergarten classroom. From a brief introduction to school rules and routines to navigating common areas such as the classroom, cafeteria, and playground, students will gain an understanding of what to expect in their new school environment. Jumpstart to K allows children another opportunity in their future school in a supportive and nurturing environment for this exciting milestone. This program is made possible through funding by the Partners for Healthy Kids grant. Gleason Lake, Kimberly Lane, and Plymouth Creek are unable to host this year due to building projects. Students who will be attending Birchview for Kindergarten will be given priority. Please register for only one session.
