Introduction to PowerliftingSports and FitnessPowerlifting is a strength sport that consists of three lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift. This is an introduction to the sport. Proper form for lifts will be taught. In addition to the three powerlifting lifts, other lifts and exercises to support the development of powerlifting and strength training will be taught. Middle School Jr. NBA Basketball CampSports and FitnessDASH Sports Jr. NBA basketball skills camps provide players a well-rounded basketball experience covering a broad range of skills training and skill-based games. Players will be taught how to properly shoot, pass, dribble, and play defense in a fun and positive environment. Each player will also receive a customized Jr. NBA jersey of their favorite team with their name and number on the jersey. Athletes should bring a water bottle. Middle School Multi-Sport Camp (Soccer, Basketball, PE Games)Sports and FitnessDASH Sports Summer Multi-Sport camp includes fun skills training and games in three sports: Soccer, Basketball, and Phy Ed Games. Athletes will spend roughly 1 hour learning and practicing each sport per day. Key sports skills will be taught and practiced in all 3 sports so athletes will come out of camp with a great understanding of key skill components and gameplay of each sport. Camp ends with games/scrimmages the final day for each sport, where athletes can showcase their skills. Campers should bring a baseball glove, sunscreen, water bottle and snack and athletic shoes and clothing. This is a great camp that produces well rounded athletes. Middle School NFL Flag Football CampSports and FitnessDash Sports officially licensed NFL flag football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced daily, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with scrimmages/games the final day where players can showcase their skills. Each player receives an official NFL Flag Jersey and flag belts to keep. Players will pick the jersey of their favorite NFL team at the time of registration. Athletes should bring a water bottle and a snack (spikes/cleats, and mouthguards are optional). Middle School Pickleball CampSports and FitnessPickleball is a fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. DASH Sports Pickleball camps provide participants with an introductory experience to the game in a fun and positive atmosphere. Emphasis is on technique and game play. Key elements of serving, returning, volleys, overheads, and lobbing will be taught and practiced. Camps ends with games on the final day. Wayzata Middle School Clay Target TeamSports and FitnessPlease note - You have two options to choose from when registering: 1. Tuesdays Trap at Plymouth Gun Club (MSCLAY-TUES-TRAP-PGC-25) Squad time will be: 4:45, 5:15, 5:45, 6:15 PM 2. Tuesdays AND Fridays Trap at Plymouth Gun Club and Buffalo Gun Club (MSCLAY-TUES/FRI-PGCBGC-25) Squad times: Tues - 4:45, 5:15, 5:45, 6:15 PM, Fri - 5:10 and 5:35 PM The Wayzata Middle School Clay Target program is a partnership with Wayzata Schools Community Ed, the Plymouth Gun Club, and the Buffalo Gun Club. Students can shoot trap one or two days per week from April 15-May 20. Experienced coaches work closely with each student athlete to ensure proper technique, safety and skill building. Students are encouraged to join the high school clay target team when they reach 9th grade. Each student must own their own 12 gauge firearm. The coach can assist families in choosing the right gun for their student. DNR Firearm Safety Certification is required PRIOR to the first practice.
