    Your young athlete will gain the technical skills and sport knowledge required for their next step into soccer. Areas of focus are dribbling, passing, shooting and ball control. By the end of the program, your child will have learned new life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship, made new friends and improved their soccer skills

All Soccer Shots coaches are trained in the use of developmentally appropriate techniques. Coaches are routinely evaluated and undergo ongoing training. Our coach selection process evaluates not only the ability to coach soccer, but also the ability to engage and inspire children. We proactively communicate cancellations due to weather or other circumstances. Our staff understands the importance of timely, responsive communication.   • Stars Tennis Camp - Little Stars

    This class is for our youngest players. We emphasize agility, balance, and coordination. Movement and tracking skills will give the kids the ability to properly handle a racquet and ball. We feel that this foundation will be instrumental in their long term success playing tennis. FUN and SUCCESS is our goal! Camp is Monday through Thursday. If a day is canceled due to rain we will hold a makeup class on Friday.

    Stars Tennis Camps - Future Stars

    We will split this group into two levels based on ability; however everyone will be rallying from the first day. Our emphasis for these kids is to get them to rally the ball and understand the fundamentals of the forehand and backhand groundstrokes, volleys, and serve. Camp is Monday through Thursday. If a day is canceled due to rain we will hold a makeup class on Friday.

    Stars Tennis Camps - Rising Stars

    The goal of this class is control. We will split this group into two levels, past players and beginners. The kids will enjoy playing games and rallying the ball back and forth while working on technique and tactics. These kids will play games with rallying by the 2nd lesson and the final day will be full of games and competitions. Camp is Monday through Thursday. If a day is canceled due to rain we will hold a makeup class on Friday.

    T-Ball Tykes

    Looking for a fun introduction to baseball? DASH Sports baseball Tykes camp introduces players to key elements of throwing, fielding/catching, batting, and baserunning. The final day of classes is ‘Game Day’ and athletes will showcase their skills in a game environment. Athletes should bring a water bottle and a baseball glove. Baseballs and bats are provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group.

    Choose either a half day or full day camp: Pickleball in the morning and golf in the afternoon. If you choose the full day option, send a lunch.     DASH Sports Track & Field camps provide participants with practice in several areas including: Sprinting, throwing, relay running, jumping and distance running. Emphasis is on technique and proper form. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall track and field performance. Campers should bring a water bottle and wear athletic shoes.

    Skyhawks Track & Field was developed to introduce young athletes to a sport rich in tradition and history. These programs combine technical development and fundamental techniques with safety while keeping a major focus on fun! Using special equipment, our staff teach the standard track & field events: long distance, sprints, soft hurdles, relays, shot put, discus, and standing long-jump. Our exercises and drills prepare athletes for a future in cross-country, track & field events, and distance running while inspiring a love for running and being active. The fundamentals of body positioning, stride, proper stretching, and cool-down techniques are covered in this unique program. Participants will put it all together for one fun-filled day at the end-of-the-week track meet!
  • Ultimate Frisbee Camp

    Come and learn the exciting game of Ultimate Frisbee. Minnesota is home to the largest youth ultimate league in the nation. Come and find out what ultimate is all about. We will teach all parts of the game: throwing, catching, cutting, defense, and rules of the game. One aspect of ultimate that is different from other sports is its focus on Spirit of the Game, essentially respect for each other and the game which will also be emphasized. If you are not familiar with Ultimate it is a continuous game similar to soccer, scoring in endzones similar to football using a frisbee to complete this task. Campers should dress in active clothing with the day's forecast in mind. Specifically they should bring soccer/football/lacrosse cleats or a good pair of tennis shoes. A hat, sunscreen, water bottle, and snack are all recommended. Players of all abilities are welcome to come learn or advance their ultimate game.

    Volleyball Camp

    Skyhawks Volleyball takes the energy and excitement of this great team sport and puts it all together into one fun-filled program. All aspects of the game are taught through drills and exercises that focus on bumping, setting, spiking, hitting and serving. This program is designed for the beginning to intermediate player.
  • Wayzata Mountain Bike Team

    Like adrenaline? Like adventure? Join the Co-Ed Wayzata Mountain Bike Team. It's open to students entering 7th-12th grade. Beginners through advanced mountain bikers are welcome. Regular season practices start the week of July 29. The season runs through October. A cross-country mountain bike and helmet are required. Registration timeline: Returning riders- April 8-22 New riders (if there is space available)- April 23-May 31 Practice dates and locations are subject to change throughout the season due to weather and trail conditions. Refer to TeamSnap or coaches emails for up to date information on practice dates and locations. Practice locations vary and may include schools, parks and local trailheads, including Lake Rebecca, Elm Creek, and Theodore Wirth Park. Check Team Snap each day for updates on trail conditions and practice locations. Participants provide own bike, helmet and transportation. New participants need to purchase a Wayzata team jersey for competitions (Approx. $60). Minnesota High School Cycling League membership and insurance are required, for an additional fee of approximately $100. Race series fees are also additional. Team racers compete in 4 or 5 races throughout the state from August through October. Minnesota Cycling League race fees are $50 per race, or $150 for a 3-5 race package if purchased together, the 'Superpass'. Race registration can be done for each race individually through August 15 or all 5 races for a discount (Superpass discount ends on August 1). If you’re unsure about racing, the Coaches will provide more information and guidance in our new athlete orientation online meeting (time/date to be provided at a later date). After registering with Wayzata Community Education, you will receive an email invitation from the Coach to register with the Minnesota Cycling Association (minnesotacycling.org). Registering with Minnesota Cycling Association and signing the waiver is a requirement of team participation. Families will also receive an email invitation to join Team Snap. Joining Team Snap and keeping your information updated is important, as this is the primary way that coaches communicate with families. Coaches will contact families after registration with schedules and information. Questions call 763-745-5200. Next Steps After Registration: After registering with Wayzata Community Ed, families will receive an email invitation from the Coach to register with the Minnesota Cycling Association (minnesotacycling.org). Registering with Minnesota Cycling Association and signing the waiver is a requirement of team participation Next, race registration can be done for each race individually through August 15 or all 5 races for a discount (discount ends on August 1). Race registration is done through Minnesota Cycling Association. If you’re unsure about racing, we will provide guidance in our new / prospective rider orientation meeting at Wayzata High School, on May 16 from 7 - 9 PM, room B204. Families will also receive an email invitation to join TeamSnap. This is our primary method of team communication. Please follow that link to register, including cell phone numbers to receive text messages. If you are a returning team member please update your TeamSnap profile for the new season. More information and details are available on the district website. Team jersey is required to be purchased. Returning riders can wear their prior year’s jersey. Order information will be shared by the coach in June. Pricing is typically $63, but is subject to change. New Riders may also obtain old jerseys directly from last year’s riders via TeamSnap messaging – a great way to reduce, reuse, and save money!
