Ice Fishing in the Neighborhood

Classes - Youth / Recreation -
Youth Classes Winter/Spring 2025

Fishing in the Neighborhood (FiN) is a DNR program that offers ice fishing outings that provide an introduction to some of the basic techniques and methods used to catch fish out on the “hard water." This includes traditional methods of hook and line ice fishing with rod/reel rigs, “jiggle sticks," and tip-up fishing. Demonstrations of basic electronics (sonar) are also available as well as multiple methods of getting through the ice to access the fish.

Bring your own fishing equipment or borrow from the DNR.  Bait will be provided.

**Adult participation required with registered children.
