Join us for a transformative journey through the art of Qi Gong in the beautiful winter landscape of Minnesota. Discover the power of simple yet potent Qi Gong exercises, including the Eight Brocades and Tai Chi Ruler, with the potential for additional practices, time permitting.

Class Setting: Experience the serene, natural beauty of Minnesota's winter as we conduct our session outdoors. Immerse yourself in the crisp, invigorating air and connect with the tranquility of the surroundings.

Class Description: In our Outdoor Qi Gong class, you will:

  • Discover the graceful movements of the Eight Brocades, a classical Qi Gong routine that fosters flexibility and vitality.
  • Experience the meditative Tai Chi Ruler exercises to cultivate balance, strength, and mindfulness.
  • Explore additional Qi Gong practices if time permits, allowing for a deeper understanding of this ancient art.

Attire: Please dress appropriately for the weather. Wear clothing that facilitates comfortable movement, allowing you to bend, twist, and stretch with ease. It's essential to prepare for the weather conditions to fully enjoy the outdoor experience.

Jay Soderberg

Jay Soderberg has been studying Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong since 2006. He has studied several Yang style forms during this time, including the traditional Long Form (108 moves), the 24-Form, and Cheng Man Ching’s 37-Form. He studied with Fong Ha – a widely respected Instructor living in Berkeley, CA – who taught world-wide. Jay was certified to teach Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan by Fong Ha in 2012. Beginning in 2014, Jay began teaching to help spread the benefits of Tai Chi Chuan. His experience with teaching Yang style includes form work, applications, push hands, saber, sword, and meditation, as well as Yiquan, and Qigong. Jay enjoys working with students of all abilities, explaining both the martial and health aspects of Tai Chi Chuan, and sharing its history.
