Adult Basic Education (ABE) Early Learning is for children that have a parent/guardian attending ABE (Adult Basic Education) classes at the Wayzata Early Learning School. Parent/Guardian must be onsite for children to attend.

How do we parent our children to be independent decision-makers, even when they are pulling on us to control them? You don’t have to be a scientist to know that the way our children behave impacts how we respond to them. Recognizing this highlights a very important challenge for us as parents. About the presenter:
Dan Baier taught first, second and third graders for 24 years in Edina public schools. In 2009 he became a certified trainer in Restitution Self-Discipline with Diane Gossen and the Director of Service Learning for Impact Lives taking students to Haitian refugee camps to learn new ways of turning talents into strengths. He has taught educators in Canada, Iceland, the Dominican Republic, Cambodia and Malaysia. He is the founder of Interdependent Learning and passionate about helping students learn the skills to be self-disciplined, and get their needs met in healthy ways while also meeting the needs of the group. He has recently taught Wayzata Public Schools' Deans of Students, teachers, para professionals, social workers, counselors, Wayzata Kids staff, and students.
