Full-Day Preschool at Kimberly Lane-2*Full-Day Preschool (4 Year Olds Only)Our much-loved preschool is part of our district's family of schools -- delivering excellence for each and every student. Preschool classes are inclusive and diverse. The classroom environment is warm and caring. Our teachers do an outstanding job of both preparing our preschoolers for kindergarten. We work closely with each student to ensure they develop the skills and achieve the standards necessary for an easy transition to kindergarten. Our full-day four-year-old preschool and childcare program (formerly known as Bright Start) is operated by Wayzata Public Schools' Community Ed department and coordinated by the Wayzata Early Learning School. The Full-Day preschool program is a curriculum-based program held during school hours and is a 5 day a week program. Registration is for all 5 school days, partial week contracts are not available. Children attend Monday through Friday. Hours of operation are from 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. There are sites at each district elementary school. We also have part-day preschool options for children starting at age 2. The Engineering for Kids Jr. Engineering/STEM Club brings fun, hands-on, lessons every week to introduce engineering concepts at a young age. For each lesson, students focus on developing 21st Century skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, and teamwork. These life skills give students the confidence to approach challenges in their lives and realize that they can succeed in almost anything! Our library of lessons continues to grow so we never have to repeat lessons. Nailed It!Arts & CraftsCalling all creative kids! This is the perfect camp to hone both your artistic side and your puzzle-solving skills. Just like on the popular TV show Nailed It!, we'll show you a final product and give you all the goods needed to recreate it. The rest is up to you! Your challenges will include creating a unicorn cake sculpture that looks good enough to eat, painting a fox at sunset, a llama with a flower crown, and so much more. Everyone will learn how to put together a professional show from start to finish. Learn how to properly speak your lines, block a scene, develop your character and much more!
