MathElite is for our honor roll students who are passionate about deep learning, willing to take intellectual risks, and are ready to engage in significant pursuits beyond the grade-level. Careful assessment will enable students to be placed into appropriate programs based on their eligibility and readiness. Please note that the eligibility is not solely based on their age/grade. A. Elementary School Competition Group (ESCG) - Grades 3rd to 6th - CML, MathBee, MathMasters, and other state/national Math contests. Start time is 11:00 am. B. Admissions and Assessments Testing Group (AATG) - Grades 5th to 7th - Stanford High School Placement Test, Northwestern University Talent Search Exam, Johns Hopkins CTY Gifted Education Tests, University of Minnesota UMTYMP Test. C. Middle-School Competition Group (MSCS) - Grades 6th to 8th - MathCounts, AMC8, Junior High Math League. D. High-School Testing Group (HSTG) - Grades 8th to 11th - training for AccuPlacer College Board Placement Test, training for National Merit Scholarships (PSAT), and other College Admission Tests. ***Please note time change from catalog. Class will be held 11-12:30 PM. This class does not qualify for the 5% early registration discount. Please note, if your child needs to withdraw from the program, we must have notice by the 1st day of the current month for withdrawals effective the first of the upcoming month. Class will be held in the Media Center. Instructors are supported by high school and college students for more individualization and small group work.
