Have you ever felt overwhelmed by behaviors your child has that you do not understand? You may find it difficult to address your concerns about these behaviors with others. Many caretakers experience a similar thing, but education is available to help alleviate behavior stressors. This presentation explains how behaviors are a form of communication from each child. Behaviors are an attempt to ‘talk’ when a person does not have words to explain their feelings. We will explore the power of being open to learning new information about behaviors, opposed to labeling them as ‘good’ and ‘bad’ without further knowledge. We will learn to identify behaviors and approach them with curiosity and a growth mindset. We will also discuss what a ‘regulated body’ means while exploring ways to listen to your own body and work through difficult behaviors.
This program is made possible through funding by the Partners for Healthy Kids grant.
This virtual presentation will be held live and a recording will be sent to all attendees afterward.
