Generations Together: Stories & Cultures

Classes - Youth / Online / Special Interests -
Youth Classes Summer 2026

A unique, multi-generational summer experience designed to help families slow down, connect, and create lasting memories together.

9:00–10:00 AM | Write Your Story

Children and adults collaborate to capture meaningful memories and stories through writing and photos. Participants reflect on childhood experiences and compare stories across generations. Families begin creating a shared keepsake book over three weeks which they can continue to enjoy and add to after the class ends.
**Families will receive information on how to order the keepsake book as the class start date approaches.**

10:00–11:00 AM | Cooking & Cultures

Students develop lifelong creativity in the kitchen while cooking with family and friends, building confidence and essential skills, and making lasting memories through fun, shareable treats and the cultural stories behind them.
Families will receive a weekly reminder outlining what ingredients and materials to have ready for the upcoming cooking class.

Sample dishes may include:

Pan con Tomate – a beloved Spanish tapa from Catalonia
Raspberry Fool – a classic dessert enjoyed in England and France

This class blends storytelling, cultural exploration, and practical life skills in a joyful, family-centered environment.
