The college application essay is your opportunity to share your story in your own voice. For many students, getting started is the hardest part. This one-session workshop is designed to help students begin generating meaningful ideas for their college admissions essays.
Through guided brainstorming activities and creative prompts, students will explore potential topics and begin identifying stories that reflect who they are as individuals. The goal of this session is not to write the essay, but to help students discover ideas, themes, and directions they can develop on their own.
Students will leave the workshop with several potential essay topics, a clearer understanding of what colleges are looking for, and the momentum to begin writing an essay that truly represents them.
