Furoshiki is a square piece of fabric that has been used in Japan for centuries to wrap, protect, transport and many other purposes. It can be an eco-friendly alternative to wasteful wrapping paper and disposable plastic bags. Come and be amazed by what a piece of fabric can do.

Kazumi Kataoka

Kazumi was born and grew up in Japan until coming to Minnesota in 1996. She is a furoshiki enthusiast who wants to spread the word about this little-known piece of Japanese culture.
