Fencing Summer CampSports and FitnessNew and returning students invited. Youth Enrichment League {YEL!} fencing has evolved. Olympic Coach Ro Sobalvarro now heads up {YEL!}’s curriculum, instructor training and tournament consultation. Coach Sobalvarro brings with him an immense knowledge of youth, national and international fencing. We keep it fun, too. Your favorite instructors return with more knowledge, refined coaching skills and, of course, your favorite fencing games and arm bands. Safety is our first priority. We supply safety swords, protective masks, chest plates and jackets, in a high-octane, inclusive environment. Fencing Team - SpringSports and Fitness{YEL!} Fencing Team - Spring New and returning students invited! Join this fast growing Olympic sport. Each {YEL!} fencing class follows four basic components: •Teach It!…Hall of Fame Olympic Fencing Coach Ro Sobalvarro crafts our lessons and curriculum. •Practice It!…Students pair up and practice the fencing move or concept, rotate partners and repeat. •Move It!…Students then participate in fencing matches using only the moves taught so far. •Play It!…10-15 minutes each class students fence with multiple fencers at their skill level. My7on7 Touch Football: KindergartenSports and FitnessWelcome to the future of football! This co-ed, minimal contact (touch) league. Players will have the opportunity to focus on offensive and defensive skills during high repetition and fast pace games, while enjoying the sport of football in the spring. Dates & Location: Saturday, April 10 3-7 p.m., Sundays, April 11, 18, 25, May 2, May 8, May 9, 3-8 p.m., at Wayzata High School turf fields. Time: Practice and games will occur between 3-5 pm. Practices will run 1 hour. More details will be emailed prior to the start. Cost: Kindergarten - $55 (includes team jersey) Soft shelled helmets are mandatory and will be available for purchase/rent. Movement and tracking skills will give the kids the ability to properly handle a racquet and ball. We feel that this foundation will be instrumental in their long term success playing tennis. Stars Tennis Camps - Rising StarsSports and FitnessThe goal of this class is control. We will split this group into two levels, past players and beginners. The kids will enjoy playing games and rallying the ball back and forth while working on technique and tactics.
