This bird bath is made with a terra-cotta drip tray. It is decorated with pieces of stained glass then grouted at the next class. This beautiful bird bath can be placed on the ground, on a wrought iron stand or other fun options. If weather permits, we will grout outside. A $20 supply fee is payable to the instructor at class. Youth ages 14-17 may register and attend with a registered adult. Join us at the Glass Mosaic Terracotta Pot class on March 10th and 11th to create a matching stand for your bird bath! NOTE LOCATION: Orono Discovery Center, 5050 Independence St., Maple Plain, MN 55359, Room 201. Park in the back north side of the building and enter through Door 5.

Glass mosaic sounds like a fancy, difficult art form however in this class, you will learn how it can be fun, and easy while creating a tabletop or sign! Look through the idea book, browse the patterns and stencils, and choose from dozens of colors of precut glass. The first night is dedicated to working on your project, having fun, and discovering your creative side with some homework. The second night is using grout. After your project is finished, you will learn about glass cutting, mosaic resources, other types of mosaics. Sign ideas include Welcome, house number, last name, state of MN. The table is 16”x16” and 16” tall and is $75 each. Signs vary in size and are $16-40 each. Materials fees are payable to the instructor the first night.
