Adult Basic Education (ABE) Early Learning is for children that have a parent/guardian attending ABE (Adult Basic Education) classes at the Wayzata Early Learning School. Parent/Guardian must be onsite for children to attend.

Online Youth Classes
Bring vibrant Mediterranean flavors to your summertime gatherings! Mezze—an assortment of small bites, dips, and shareable dishes—is perfect for crowd-pleasing summer entertaining. In this hands-on class, you will learn to create a beautiful, full-flavored mezze spread using Chef Tess’ personal recipes.
On the Mezze Menu: Mediterranean Kebabi; full flavored / seasoned ground meat skewers with Greek Drizzle Dressing, Tiropitakia; Phyllo wrapped savory cheese triangles, accompanied by Tzatziki; Savory Greek Yogurt Dip, and Greek hummus, in addition to homemade Pita Bread! This variety of skewers, phyllo wraps, dips, and pita bread make for a beautiful presentation! Learn how to make, wrap, present, and plate these delicious wonders with a wonderful Greek Salad
Equipment Needs: Food processor for making the humus, stand mixer with dough hook attachment for the pita bread.
This class will take place on Zoom, free online software. Participants will receive instructions on how to access the class prior to it starting.
NOTE: The instructor’s recipes are copyrighted and are only shared with those who register for this class. A list of ingredients and class details will be received in advance of the class with enough time for shopping and preparation. The Instructor’s Personal Recipe from this class will be included in a professionally made PDF packet to be received by participants after the class.
As an added bonus, the instructor has created a private group and a public group on Facebook for participants of her cooking classes. Everyone will receive an invite to the groups although joining is optional. Come join the fun!
Note: One registration fee for this online virtual interactive class can include immediate family members living full-time in the same home ONLY. If children are participating, adult supervision is required. If friends, adult children, or extended family members are gathering for a fun night together, EACH household must register SEPARATELY even if participating together.
Refunds for any cancelations from this class will only be given if notice is received at least one week in advance, or prior to receiving the initial ingredient/prep packet. Refunds will not be given after the ingredient/prep packet is received, which is approximately one week prior to class.
Tess Georgakopoulos, creator of Dish it up Good also known as “Chef Tess—Culinary Artist”, brings over four decades of cooking and baking experience to her work as a culinary educator and Community Education instructor.
Raised in a Greek Family where food was a central expression of love and connection, Tess developed her passion for cooking at a young age alongside her father, a trained chef. Those early experiences continue to shape her approach today—blending tradition, creativity, and deep appreciation for the role food plays in brining people together.
As an accomplished cook, baker, and recipe developer, Tess is continually expanding her culinary repertoire through ongoing experimentation in her test kitchen. She is known for creating thoughtfully designed “gold standard” culinary experiences that combine technique, creativity, and approachability.
She currently partners with over 60 public school districts across Minnesota, and additional programs in Wisconsin, Missouri, New York and Oklahoma, and has taught over 5,000 participants. Through her teaching, Tess empowers home cooks of all skill levels to build confidence, expand their abilities, and experience the joy of creating meaningful meals in their own kitchens
Her guiding philosophy is simple: to make cooking approachable, enjoyable, and rewarding—helping others “make dishing simple and delicious”.
