Adult Basic Education (ABE) Early Learning is for children that have a parent/guardian attending ABE (Adult Basic Education) classes at the Wayzata Early Learning School. Parent/Guardian must be onsite for children to attend.
Wayzata Kids is a school-age childcare program.

Online Youth Classes
Create a beautiful stained glass window approximately 8” x 10” in size. This class is for both beginner and experienced stained glass participants! The copper foil technique will be taught from cutting to assembly. The first night focuses on choosing a pattern and discussing colors of glass, equipment and layout. The other sessions will focus on assembling your stained glass window. Glass and materials are purchased directly from the instructor at class - approximately $65. Tool kits are provided. Please bring safety glasses to use while cutting and grinding glass. This class includes one free Saturday morning Open Studio visit. Youth age 14-17 are welcome to register if attending with a registered adult.
NOTE LOCATION: Orono Discovery Center, 5050 Independence St., Maple Plain, MN 55359, Room 201. Park in the back north side of the building and enter through Door 5.
Cindy is the Stained Glass Instructor for Orono Community Education and Wayzata Community Education. In 2003 the Discovery Center opened the Stained Glass Studio, where Cindy shares her love of stained glass with others. It had always been Cindy's dream to have a studio for people to learn, create and enjoy.
Her studies include: Colorado State University, stained glass study at local studios, Orono Community Education, and hands-on learning. "I always learn something new whenever I teach. It's fun to see how students interpret the techniques I teach. I'm truly happy to be able to see the beautiful art that happens, in so many different applications." Cindy has been sharing her passion for stained glass with students for many years.
