  • Bling it On!

    Glitter, sequins and jewels, oh my! We will be-dazzle all the art projects we craft in this camp. We’ll make tons of sparkly projects including; bracelets, glittery snow globes, and a jewelry box. We will even glitter-fy our fingernails! The kids will learn different art terms and techniques as they work with air-dry clay, Model Magic®, watercolors and more dazzling art supplies. The children are welcome to bring their own age-appropriate music to camp so they can listen to their favorite tunes while they bling it on!

    Come explore your feelings in this interactive camp designed to help students learn about, manage, and identify emotions. Students will engage in skill and community building, movement activities, and art to increase their emotional vocabulary and coping skills. This session is recommended for students that are new to Camp Emoji or have taken the class once and would like to repeat it.

    First Down Tots

    First Down Tots is a development program for kids ages 2-4 years old that uses a variety of fun games to engage kids while teaching the sport of football and developing fundamental skills. The goal is to build fitness, muscle coordination, football fundamentals and create a love of the game. We do not do any tackling or blocking at this level. *Parent participation required.

    Please note: Currently all of our 2023-2024 Full-Day Preschool classes are at capacity. We are not accepting Full-Day Preschool registrations for the current school year. Currently all of our 2024-2025 Full-Day Preschool classes are at capacity. However, we are still accepting waitlist registrations for future 2024-2025 Full-Day Preschool enrollment opportunities. The registration period for our 2024 Summer Rising K's program has closed and we will not be accepting future registration requests for summer 2024. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Our much-loved preschool is part of our district's family of schools -- delivering excellence for each and every student. Preschool classes are inclusive and diverse. The classroom environment is warm and caring. We work closely with each student to ensure they develop the skills and achieve the standards necessary for an easy transition to kindergarten. All Preschool programs follow the district elementary calendar. Early Learning School preschool classes run from September 3, 2024 through June 5, 2025. These classes are intended for children who can attend the full school year. Registering for your first and second choice classes. During the registration process, you will have an opportunity to list your 1st and 2nd choice. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If there is space in your first choice class you will be placed in that class. If your first choice class is full, you will automatically be placed in your second choice. If both choices are full you will automatically be placed on the waitlist for your first choice class. Please know that by submitting your registration request, you are not confirmed in a preschool class until your registration has been reviewed and approved by the preschool manager. Once your child has been placed in a class, you will receive emails confirming the placement and notifying you that your credit card has been charged the $75 registration fee. Students attending Full-Day Preschool must be 4 years old by September 1, 2024. Students who have turned 5 years old before June 1, 2024 are not eligible for Full Day Preschool. We also have part-day preschool options for children starting at age 2. If you are interested in part-day preschool class options, please choose a class from the Wayzata Early Learning School part-day preschool options. Please know that by submitting your registration request, you are not confirmed in Rising K's summer program until your registration has been reviewed and approved by the preschool manager.   • Mini-Hawk Camp

    This multi-sport program was developed to give children a positive first step into athletics. Sports are taught in a safe, structured environment filled with encouragement and fun. Through exciting games and activities, campers explore balance, hand/eye coordination and skill development at their own pace. Sports featured will be soccer and basketball.
  • North Woods Jumpstart to K

    Jumpstart to K is an engaging introduction to your Rising Kindergartener's future elementary school. This brief yet impactful experience aims to familiarize children with the school to help a smooth transition into kindergarten. North Woods teachers lead Jumpstart to K, and while the teacher your Rising K student meets for this program may not be their classroom teacher for Kindergarten, they will be another familiar, friendly face during the transition. This program is designed to be interactive and fun. Throughout the morning or afternoon, your Rising K student will engage in a series of interactive activities and guided experiences aimed at building confidence and enthusiasm for the kindergarten classroom. From a brief introduction to school rules and routines to navigating common areas such as the classroom, cafeteria, and playground, students will gain an understanding of what to expect in their new school environment. Jumpstart to K allows children another opportunity in their future school in a supportive and nurturing environment for this exciting milestone. This program is made possible through funding by the Partners for Healthy Kids grant. Gleason Lake, Kimberly Lane, and Plymouth Creek are unable to host this year due to building projects. Students who will be attending North Woods for Kindergarten will be given priority. Please register for only one session.

    DASH Sports Track & Field camps provide participants with practice in several areas including: Sprinting, throwing, relay running, jumping and distance running. Emphasis is on technique and proper form. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall track and field performance. Campers should bring a water bottle and wear athletic shoes.

    DASH Sports Track & Field Tykes camps provide participants with a basic introduction into Track & Field events. Participants will learn and practice how to correctly run, jump, and throw. Emphasis is on technique and proper form. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall athletic ability & performance. Campers should bring a water bottle, snack, and wear athletic shoes.
  • Ultimate Frisbee Camp

    Ultimate Frisbee also known as Ultimate is fast paced, free flowing and a non-contact team sport. Ultimate combines elements of multiple sports such as soccer and flag football to deliver a fun, social and competitive game. Participants will learn the rules, sharpen basic skills such as throwing, catching, hand-eye coordination, and agility, while maintaining the quality of fun and good sportsmanship Skyhawks is synonymous for. Tennis shoes are required and you may also bring cleats. Please bring a water bottle.
