    Join us in this new multiplayer Minecraft class. We will go over basic, and not so basic building techniques. Then work alone or collaboratively to complete building challenges on our Tech Academy Minecraft servers. We will be using the PC/Java edition of Minecraft.

    Design, develop, and create 3D Virtual Reality environments and characters! Students will make their own 3D games and other virtual reality for kids on Metaverse's new platform Hatch. Hatch is an incredibly fun and stimulating way to learn STEM! Adults will receive information on how to register for a Hatch VR account. VR programs can be viewed on most mobile phones, and VR Systems like oculus or google cardboard. You only need a laptop/computer to get started.     Hack into the code of classic games! Students will learn Java coding skills while modifying games. Coding beginners and more experienced students will love this class. This fun class is our staff and students' favorite coding class. We will be editing text files. No experience is necessary, but familiarity with common tasks using a computer operating system (text-editing and understanding directory structures) and good keyboarding skills is required.     Designed by the experts at MIT, this unique system teaches children about simple machines, engineering, programming, and so much more. The LEGO® Education WeDo Robotics Builder class allows students to explore different concepts in robotics. Possible models may include scuba driver, clown fish, bathyscope, sea gulls, submarines, and more. Students will build LEGO® models featuring working motors, tilt sensors, motion detectors, and a LEGO® USB Robotics Hub. Students will be working in pairs.

    Create YOUR OWN VIDEO GAME! Love video games? Young students can create their platform video games in this incredible class! Choose your storyline with your favorite superheroes as your stars. Add challenges and difficulty levels. Then, share them by email or post them on the web to challenge family and friends. Students can practice math, logic, and programming and put their video game talents to work! Bring a USB drive to save your games on the last day. Students should have basic reading skills.
  • Extreme Robotics: Medieval Battlebots

    Learn about medieval technology as you build drawbridges, catapults, battering rams, and crossbows. Combining the versatility of the LEGO© building system with the most advanced technology LEGO© has ever developed, unleash the creative powers of the new LEGO© Mindstorms to create and command robots and devices that can do anything you can imagine. Students working in small teams will build these exciting robotic models, learn how to program them into action, and then can experiment and modify the programs.
  • Intro to Game Coding

    Learn to create an interactive 2D video game using your FAVORITE characters. Choose characters from Pokémon, Nintendo, Minecraft, and even classic characters like Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Sonic, and Mario! In the first class, we will learn to use Scratch, and in the final session, students will be walked through creating a maze game and picking which main character to use.     This camp is perfect for those who love extraordinary cars and thrilling race action. Explore the world of robotics using LEGO®'s Systems. Build cars and dragsters with motors and sensors to explore the environment. Students working in teams will be introduced to robotics fun and learn about the programming process along the way. Every day students will explore a different car model, and on the last day, take what they learn to create their own car and compete in a racing tournament.

    This course builds knowledge of simple machines, engineering, programming, and teamwork in an environment full of galactic fun! Designed by the experts at MIT, this unique system teaches students ab out simple machines, engineering, programming, and so much more. Working in pairs, students will create Star Wars and space-inspired robots. Models include AT-ST Biped, spinning TIE fighter, cannons, and other out-of-this-world models. Students will be working in pairs.
