A beginner's crochet class for students. Students will learn the basic stitches of the art of crochet, while learning the fundamentals of reading a crochet pattern and creating their very own stylish iPad case/cover (original pattern and design created by Tess Georgakopoulos) using Wayzata's colors. Students will personalize their cases with decorative iron-on cutouts/appliques. Stitches to be learned include: chain stitch, single crochet, long single crochet, and slip stitch. Students will have “homework” from one week to the next of crocheting a certain number of rows in order to continue on to the next steps and completing their projects. Links to YouTube videos of how to create each stitch will be provided in case students need a visual from one week to the next. $20 supply fee is payable to the instructor at the first class. Supplies provided include blue and gold yarn, crochet hook, button, iron-on cutouts/appliques for personalizing, original pattern, and a project bag.
