  • Jr. Engineering/STEM Club - Session 2

    New and returning students welcome! All new lessons! The Engineering For Kids Jr Engineering/STEM Club brings fun, hands-on lessons every week to introduce engineering concepts at a young age. For each lesson, students focus on developing 21st Century skills such as problem solving, critical thinking and teamwork. These life skills give students the confidence to approach challenges in their lives and realize that they can succeed in almost anything! Our library of lessons continues to grow so we never have to repeat lessons. Projects include: Mechanical Engineering: Boomerang Can - Students learn how a boomerang works and make their own boomerang can. Chemical Engineering: Lava Lamp - Students learn about chemical reactions with a lava lamp. Marine Engineering: Aquascope - Students build an aquascope for a seek & find challenge. Mechanical Engineering: Wind-Up Toy - Students learn how a wind-up toy works and make their own toy. Civil Engineering: Rock, Paper, Scissors - Students are challenged to build a structure with rock, paper, & scissors. Aerospace Engineering: Bernoulli's Frog - Students learn about Bernoulli's principle with their own frog levitation toy.
