The Fall Clay Target Program is a partnership with Wayzata Public Schools Community Ed and the Plymouth Gun Club. Students shoot trap or skeet one day per week for six weeks in Sept/Oct. These are coached practice rounds with no competitions. Experienced coaches work closely with each student athlete to ensure proper technique, safety, and skill building. This skill building program is a great way for youth to prepare for success in the high school clay target program.
Prior season trap experience required before eligibility to join skeet.
Each student must own their own firearm. The coach can assist families in choosing the right gun for their student. DNR Firearm Safety Certification is required prior to the first practice. Prior to registering, contact Coach Randal Baker at 612-308-6596 for more details. Fee includes targets and ammunition provided at the club. We will only be offering 12 gauge this fall.
- Squad Times for Trap: 3:40, 4:05, 4:35, 5:10, 5:45
- Squad Times for Skeet: 3:30, 4:20, 5:10
- All target and ammo costs are included. 12 gauge only this fall
- An orientation and safety session will be held for all new youth to the program. (date and time TBD)
A MANDATORY SAFETY MEETING will be held on Sunday September 12th at 6:30pm in the Plymouth Gun Club parking lot. All returning shooters plan 30 minutes, if you are new to the program or would like a trap basic refresher plan to stay an additional 30 minutes.
